Woodturning Cruise 1998
This cruise was arranged onboard the MS BRAND, a former ferry, re-buildt as a passenger ship. It could only take about 50 passengers and the facilities was ok, but not great. We had a great trip and since this was the first ever it was a good experience and it proved to be something we should repeat.
We sailed the 18 May, the day after our National day. The weather was rather cold and the guys demonstrating on the dock and deck had a rather cold experience. On the aft deck, outside we had a VB lathe and a Graduate, these had to be welded downt to the deck as the VB tipped over once after a bit of rough seas. This ship was rather small and it did not behave good in open seas, as it was made for crossing fjords in sheltered waters.
